OnlyFans terms, in plain words
Our summary of the rules that matter when you chat. It is not OnlyFans’ text and not legal advice. The official terms always win.
onlyfans.com blocks automated reading, so this summary comes from write-ups that quote the official terms, plus agency policy. Anything tagged Unverified still needs a person to check it against the official page.
What changed in October 2026
- The bar for a ban is lower. “Seriously or repeatedly breached” is now just “may have breached”. One violation, or a suspected one, can lead to suspension or held earnings.
- Earnings can be held during a review, “for as long as is necessary to review the relevant facts”. There is no deadline.
- Less warning. OnlyFans now promises only “reasonable efforts” to notify. The general promise to warn before suspending is gone.
- Ignoring an information request is a breach. If OnlyFans asks for information and the creator doesn’t reply promptly, that alone counts.
- The creator is responsible for the whole team. Help from an agency or chatter “does not affect your legal responsibility”. What you type is the creator’s legal risk.
- AI content must clearly feature the verified creator and carry a clear label such as #ai or #AIGenerated. Fully synthetic models are not allowed. Unverified
- Assume every DM is read. OnlyFans may use AI to process direct messages, and the agency notice says chats are now scanned for breaches.
- Data-scraping tools are banned. Tools “designed to collect any data or information” from OnlyFans, or used to “train or enhance any software”, are not allowed. Clause unverified
- Disputes must be raised in writing within six months.
- Ads and affiliate posts need a label such as #ad or #sponsored.
Rules every chatter follows
OnlyFans terms plus agency policy.
- Describe content accurately. The caption must match what the fan receives, 100%.
- Don’t present old content as new. No “just uploaded”, “newest unreleased” or “you’re my first and only”.
- No fake customs. Only offer customs that are approved and deliverable. Confirm details and timeframe before payment.
- Never promise or hint at meeting in person, for any payment, tip or purchase.
- No misleading promises to close a sale. Every reward you offer has to be one you can deliver.
- Live baiting only when the content matches the caption 100%. Never claim you’re uploading it right now. As a follow-up reward say “might” or “maybe”, and only if a live video really is possible.
- Shy accounts: don’t name acts the model has no content for.
- Bundles: never suggest an act, level of explicitness or personal request the bundle doesn’t contain.
- Not sure? Stop and ask management before you send.
Good and bad examples
“why don’t u open it and i might add some live vids as well <33”
Only if a live video is really possible.“going live for u right now”
When the model can’t do a live.“wanna see something i never really share.. something barely anyone saw?”
“i just uploaded this for u” · “wanna see my newest unreleased vid?” · “u’ll be my first and only to see this”
A caption that names exactly what’s in the bundle.
Only what the bundle actually shows.Naming an act that isn’t included, or explicit wording for non-explicit content.
Still to check Unverified
Longstanding rules we couldn’t confirm from the official text. Treat them as rules anyway until someone checks the Acceptable Use Policy.
- No off-platform payments or contact details.
- No content involving minors or anyone without verified consent.
- No impersonating another person.
- No banned content categories.
